Do you need an easy and cheap Halloween craft to do with your kids? Here’s a super cute hanging bat craft using an empty egg carton! One of my favorite things to do with my kids is make crafts and that’s even cooler when we can recycle trash during that process. Check out this cute Halloween craft!
Supplies you’ll need:
- Empty egg carton
- Scissors
- Black paint
- Paintbrush
- Googly eyes
- String
How to Make the Hanging Bat Craft:
1. Take your empty egg carton and scissors and cut the egg holders into groups of three. The outer egg holders will be the wings, so cut a zig zag pattern on them to resemble wings. The middle egg holder will be the bat body. See the picture below for reference.
2. Use the black paint and paintbrush to paint the outside and underside with black paint. See the picture below for reference.
3. Next, allow the paint to dry fully
4. Once the paint is dry, add two cute googly eyes to your bat.
5. Next, poke a hole in the top of the bat. Thread the white string through the hole and tie a knot underneath. See the picture below for reference.
6. Next, hang the bat craft wherever you’d like to add a little spooky décor to your home. We hung our bats from our kitchen lights so it looked like bats were flying around our kitchen.
