Hi again! We are back with another free printable Valentine’s Day card. This time we have made a “You are the Highlight of my Day” Valentine’s Day card to go with any kind of highlighter. This is a great option if you are interested in a non-candy Valentine’s Day card. This is also a super cute Valentine to give to a special teacher! That is actually the reason why I created this free printable to begin with. I planned to add this cute little tag to a heart shaped stackable highlighter and notepad for my kids to give to their teachers for Valentine’s Day. However, this Valentine’s Day card is versatile and can be used for teachers, students, principals, bus drivers, and everything else under the sun. How to Make the Highlighter Valentine’s Day Cards
- First, download this free printable Valentine’s Day card that’s linked below by clicking on the download button
2. Print the highlighter Valentine’s Day cards out on white cardstock paper. I definitely recommend using cardstock instead of standard printer paper to make the cards more durable and less likely to tear. I have linked my absolute favorite type of cardstock paper in blue on the product name right above. I use this for all of my free printables and it works perfectly in printers.
3. Next, cut out each of the Valentine’s Day cards. I definitely recommend using a paper cutter to help speed up this step. I have linked my favorite paper cutter in the previous sentence. You can also use scissors too if you don’t have a paper cutter.
4. Then, use a hole puncher to punch a hole in the top left corner of the card right over the first of the three faux paper holes.
5. Use a cute little Valentine twine to thread through the hole punch and tie around these adorable heart shaped stackable highlighters and notepads.
Alternative option: Instead of step 4 and 5, just place a glue dot on the back of the highlighter Valentine’s Day card and stick it straight onto the highlighter.
