Are anyone else’s kids a little extra and want a Halloween bucket that matches their Halloween costume? Well, maybe a I’ve made them this way because I love a good matching costume! So anyways, my daughter wants to go as a vampire for Halloween and wants a bucket that matches her black and red vampire costume. So we went ahead and used an old used orange pumpkin bucket to DIY our own vampire Halloween bucket!

Below are all the supplies needed. You can click each supply to see my recommended product.
How to make a Halloween vampire bucket:
- First, spray paint an old orange pumpkin bucket black. Follow the directions on the can for proper administration and drying instructions.
- Next, a white acrylic paint marker to draw back in the eyes, nose, and fangs. I just used the intentions on the pumpkin bucket as a guide when drawing them back in.
- Use a black acrylic paint marker to draw pupils into the eyes.
- Use a red acrylic paint marker to draw blood dripping from the fangs.
- Then, use a polyurethane spray to spray the entire bucket. Follow the can directions for how to apply and let dry. This helps seal the paint so that it doesn’t scratch off during all the trick or treating fun!
- Then finish it off by adding strips of red gems around the top opening and on the sides of the eyes, nose, and mouth. We also formed the gem strips into the shape of blood drips coming down the back.

What do you think?! My daughter is excited to use it for Halloween. Would you give this craft a try?!
