One of my family’s favorite thing to do for a holiday is to make each other homemade cards. Me and my husband have always done this for each other even before we had kids. So, for Fathers Day this upcoming weekend, the kids and I were planning to make dad some homemade cards. We had already bought some cool extending campfire skewers for s’mores, so we decided to make some campfire themed cards to go with our Fathers’ Day gift.

My son decided to make this cute s’mores card.

To make this card:

  • Fold a white piece of construction paper in half to form the card and to serve as the marshmallow of the s’mores
  • Cut two rectangles from brown construction paper. This should be a little bit wider than the folded card because they will be the graham crackers
  • Glue the graham crackers to the top and bottom of the front of the card
  • Use a brown marker to draw some melted chocolate on the top and bottom of the marshmallow
  • On the graham crackers, write the cute little quote “I love you s’more than anything” or “Everything is s’more fun with you”
  • You can also draw a cute little s’more face too

Since our card was for Fathers Day, we added “Happy Fathers Day” to the inside of the card and my son drew a cute campfire picture for dad.

My daughter LOVES painting with her hands. So, she decided to make his cute handprint campfire card.

To make this card:

  • Use brown construction paper to cut out a few brown logs
  • Glue the logs on the bottom of a white sheet of paper forming an X for the campfire
  • Using yellow and orange paint, press 3 handprints on top of the logs to form the fire
  • Cut out a stick from the brown construction paper and glue it above the campfire
  • Cut out a marshmallow from white construction paper and glue it on top of the stick
  • Using markers, write “You warm my heart.” We also added “Happy Fathers Day” since these cards are for Father’s Day.

I’m sure Dad is gonna love these handmade cards!!
