Did you know bunnies are very social animals that like to live in groups. A group of bunnies is called a fluffle! How cute is that? So, of course, we had to make a fluffle of bunnies out of different handprints, fingerprints, and thumbprints.

How to make these cute bunny prints:

  • For the largest bunny in the center:
    • Use the paintbrush to paint the hand with white paint. You should paint all fingers except the thumb
    • Then press your painted hand onto the construction paper while the ring and middle fingers are spread apart. Spreading the middle and ring finger apart helps create the two separate bunny ears
    • Once the paint in dry, use the sharpie to draw on the bunnies face and ears
  • For the medium bunnies on the sides:
    • Use the paintbrush to paint the middle finger, pointer finger, and a small area of the palm under those two fingers with white paint
    • Then press the painted areas of the hand to the construction paper
    • Once the paint is dry, use the black sharpie to draw on a cute bunny face
  • For the smaller bunnies at the bottom:
    • Use the paint brush to paint the thumb and index finger tips with white paint
    • Then press the painted finger onto the construction paper
      • You can either just press a single thumb print or a thumb print with an index finger print above it. Stacking the different fingerprints makes a larger body on the bottom and a smaller head on top.
    • Once the paint is dry, use the black sharpie to draw the details of the bunny

Bunnies made from different hand, finger, and thumbprints. A great Easter craft!

My 2 year old loved this! She was able to get lots of sensory play in as she smeared the paint around in her hands. This also gave her some practice on her fine motor skills as she had to finagle her hand to make the different prints. I hope your kids enjoy this craft as much as mine did!
