What you’ll need for this craft:
- Free baby chick printable template
- Yellow and orange washable paint
- Paint holder
- Tip: I usually just use a disposable plate for easy clean up
- Plastic Easter egg half or an empty toilet paper roll
- Tip: the Easter egg should be one that can open up completely to make two halves. If the halves are attached then use a pair of scissors to cut them apart.
- Q-tips or paintbrush
How to do the Baby Chick Stamping Craft:
1. Print the FREE baby chick printable template. The download button is linked above.
2. Set up you paint holder (we used a disposable plate) and pour some of the yellow and orange paint onto it. Also set out your Easter egg half and Q-tips.
3. Next, dip the Easter egg half into the yellow paint and stamp the yellow paint onto each chick to create a circular body. See the picture below for reference.
- Tip: You can also use an empty toilet paper roll here to create the circular body of the baby chick
4. Next, use the q-tips or paintbrush to add any details to your baby chick. For this part, my daughter used the q-tip to paint the chicks’ beaks, legs, wings, and even colored in some of their bodies fully
Now you have a cute little baby chick craft to hang up on your fridge for some festive decorations 😉
