I have always loved doing handprint crafts with my kids. Not only do they love the sensory fun that comes with painting with your hands, but I end up with a keepsake of their precious hand. So here is a fun idea for a snowman handprint craft to do during those cold winter months.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Washable paint (white, brown, black, and orange)
- Construction paper (I like light blue to look like a blue sky)
- Paint brush
- Baby wipes (for a quick clean up!)
Let’s get started:
- Using your paint brush, paint you child’s palm, ring finger, middle finger, and pointer finger with the white paint
- Then paint the pinky and thumb with the brown paint
- Tip: move quickly on this part so that the paint does not dry before you can make the handprint
- Below is a picture of how the child’s hand should be painted
- Press the child’s hand to the construction paper
- Once the paint is dry, use the paint brush and other paint colors to add a hat, eyes, a carrot nose, a mouth, buttons, stick arms, and a scarf
