Ok, I’m pretty excited about this fun and unique activity. We’re making bouncing bubbles! And what’s even better is that we’re using just three ingredients that you most likely already have in your kitchen. My kids thought this was the coolest thing and bounced bubbles for at least an hour. So, come with us as we make bouncing bubbles.

Supplies Needed to Make Bouncing Bubbles
- Beaker or just a cup – I’ve linked our favorite kids science kit that I’ve had for years and has lasted us for so many fun experiments
- Water
- Granulated sugar
- Dish soap
- Spoon
- Bubble wand – Here’s a set of some really cute bubble wands that would be great for this. You could also just make your own bubble wand by twisting a pipe cleaner into the shape of a bubble wand.
- Knitted gloves – just a pair of regular knitted gloves like these will work.
How to Make Bouncing Bubbles
1. First, pour 10 milliliters of dish soap into the beaker.
2. Next, fill the beaker with 100 milliliters of warm water. Warm water helps to dissolve the sugar that’s added in the next step quicker, but it will still work if you use room temperature water too.
3. Next, add 5 teaspoonfuls of sugar to the beaker
4. Then, stir the solution until the sugar is completely dissolved.
5. Then place the cotton gloves on your hand and use the bubble wand to blow the bubble mixture.
6. Use the gloved hand to try to gently bounce and catch the bubbles. The bubbles will still pop if you squish them or are too rough bouncing them. So, blow some more bubbles and get the feel for bouncing the bubbles without popping them.
What do you think? We had so much fun with this activity! My kids were blown away with being able to bounce the bubbles on their hands and pretended like they were magicians. We play with these bubbles for at least an hour. Check it out and see if it’s a hit with your kiddos too!
