Supplies Needed to Make a Turkey Mask:
You can click on each of the supply items listed below to see and purchase our recommended products.
- Cardstock – I’ve linked my favorite cardstock paper that can be used with both inkjet and laser printers. This cardstock paper works great for printing coloring pages!
- Markers – I have linked my favorite dual tip markers that have a larger tip on one side and a fine tip on the other side. They are perfect for coloring!
- Large popsicle stick or elastic string – you can choose between these two options if you’d like to hold your mask or wear it on your face.
- Scissors
- Hole puncher
- Optional mask decorations:
- Feathers – here is a great multi-color pack of feathers that would look awesome glued around the edges of the turkey mask
- Rhinestones – here is an awesome pack of self-adhesive rhinestones for crafting
- Stickers – I have linked some adorable Thanksgiving and fall stickers here.
How to Make a Turkey Mask:
1. Just click the download button at the bottom of this post and print the PDF out on cardstock. I recommend printing these out on cardstock paper, instead of regular paper, so they are more durable and don’t crumple or rip in the middle of all the crafting fun!
2. Then color and decorate the turkey mask to your liking. This is your time to get creative! Some fun options to decorate it could be to color it, apply rhinestones, stick on stickers, glue on feathers, etc.
3. Next, cut around the outer edges of the turkey and cut the eye holes out too
4. Hole punch a hole on the left and right side of the turkey where the small circles are located
5. Thread a piece of string through each hole. I’d recommend using elastic string that is stretchy and can stretch around different head sizes easily.
6. Place the turkey mask and string around your head and adjust to fit.
7. Tie string and enjoy your festive turkey mask!
Alternative: Instead of string, you can also tape a jumbo popsicle stick to the back of the mask to use as a handle to hold the mask to your face. You could also use an inch wide strip of paper to create a headband and tape the mask to it.
Check out my daughter’s final turkey mask creation below! She decided to just color hers and attached it to a popsicle stick to hold to her face.
