With all this beautiful spring weather that we’ve been getting, we had to do a craft making some spring flowers. So, for today’s craft we made spring flowers out of coffee filters and pipe cleaners.
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
- 2 coffee filters
- Green pipe cleaner
- Water
- Markers
- Container to pour water into
To make the flowers:
1. Stack two coffee filters on top of each other and color the whole thing with markers. The markers will bleed through to the bottom filter so both filters will be colored.
2) Place filters in a bin and cover with water. This causes the ink colors to blend together and almost give a tie dye effect
3) Squeeze out excess water and lay flat to dry
4) Once dry, stack the 2 filters on top of each other and pinch the center of the filter into a point forming the filters into a cone shape
5) Wrap one end of your pipe cleaner around the pinched end to keep the filters in place and to serve as the stem.
Now you have a pretty spring flower!
